You can sing with the Byrds without auditioning, and get a taste of Keith's directing style, in our annual come-and-sing event, Sing Joyfully! Previous events have seen us joined by members of The Sixteen, lending their expertise as a motley group tackled Byrd's Mass à 5.
You just need to tell us what voice part you are, get your sight-singing cap out from where you last put it, and come ready for a whistlestop tour of a large work!
This year's event will take place on Sunday 1st July at Christ Church West Didsbury. All are welcome as we nagivate through two masterpieces of the Italian choral repertoire: Palestrina's lovely Missa 'Assumpta est Maria', and Pizzetti's setting of the De profundis from close to 350 years later.
More information may be found on the registration form, which you can download, complete, and return together with your payment. Alternatively, you can fill out the form below to register directly. Please ensure that you include all of the following fields:
Which voice part you usually sing (the Palestrina is in 6 parts SSATBarB, and the Pizzetti in 7 SSATTBB)
You should then make your payment to The William Byrd Singers’ account, using your name as the reference:
